Privacy Policy

The Short Version
We collect zero data. Stage Companion has no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts, and we operate no servers. Your setlists and settings are stored on your device — and, only if you enable the optional iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud account. Your data is yours alone.
Information We Collect
None. Stage Companion does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or usage data to us or to any third party we work with. We operate no servers, and the app never contacts us.
Data Storage
All data created within the app — including setlists, program configurations, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. This data is:
- Stored on your device
- Included in your iCloud backups if enabled
- Deleted when you uninstall the app
- Never transmitted to us
Optional iCloud Sync
Stage Companion offers an optional iCloud sync (off by default) that keeps your setlists, songs, and presets in sync between your own devices. When enabled, your data is stored in your personal, private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), tied to your Apple Account and covered by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot see, access, or process this data — it never touches any server of ours. Turning sync off stops all iCloud transfer, and you can remove the stored data from iCloud in the iOS Settings app.
Network Access
Stage Companion works without an internet connection. The app never contacts servers operated by us. The only network use is the optional iCloud sync described above (directly between your device and Apple's iCloud), plus MIDI communication with your keyboard via USB or Bluetooth, which is a direct local connection.
Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app contains no:
- Analytics or tracking code
- Advertising SDKs
- Third-party login services
- Crash reporting services
Bluetooth and USB Access
The app requires access to Bluetooth and USB to communicate with your keyboard. This access is used exclusively for:
- Detecting and connecting to MIDI devices
- Sending MIDI messages (program changes, control changes, clock)
- Receiving MIDI messages (for MIDI Learn functionality)
No data from these connections is stored, logged, or transmitted.
Children's Privacy
Since we collect no data, Stage Companion is compliant with children's privacy regulations including COPPA. The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this policy and notify users through the App Store update notes. Given our commitment to privacy, any changes would only be to further strengthen your privacy protections.

Your Rights
Since we don't collect any data, there's nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. Your data exists on your device (and in your own iCloud account if you enable sync) and is fully under your control.
